There are so many emotions swimming around in my heart and mind with this absolutely fabulous story.
I had no idea about the subject of this story. It hit extremely close to home as a recent event very similar to this rocked my world. All I can say is I absolutely related to Corin’s character. And often when reading Butterfly Dreams had to stop to take a moment because Corin’s feelings and fears mirrored mine.
A. Meredith Walters has this way with her stories and characters that brings you deep into the angst but you can still find your way out and see the love and hope.
Corin and Beckett’s banter was fun. It was cheeky dry humour which you can see coming from individuals facing big fears and trying to cover them up. I enjoyed the build up of their relationship and loved that there wasn’t this insta-love thing going on.
I also appreciated that the characters were independent individuals and not needy or whiny in a way they are often portrayed in stories.
A. Meredith Walters has and will continue to be one of my most favourite authors. She brings real life to fiction without glossing over things or making them too Disneyfied. Walters keeps it real while giving us a good balance of book boy fantasy and romance.
Butterfly Dreams is one of those books that will stick with you. Definitely get this on your TBR
