Collide by Gail McHugh ~NEW REVIEW~

I want to thank Gail McHugh for sharing her debut novel Collide with us.  I thoroughly enjoyed this novel!  It was everything I didn’t realize I needed in my next read.

Collide had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what would happen next.  I admit my attention wasn’t grabbed in the first couple of pages but it didn’t take much more reading before I was completely hooked.  Nothing like staying up until 3am because you can’t put a read down because you just HAVE TO KNOW what happens next.  That is what Collide did to me!!!

I enjoyed all of the characters in Collide. Ms. McHugh has created strong emotional characters in Emily, Olivia, Dillon and Gavin.  I enjoyed the interactions between the characters, and found myself quite emotionally invested in them.  I also am happy to report that I have added another deliciously hot tattooed man to my Book Boyfriend list but I’ll let you figure out which hottie I am talking about.  While I have one new book boyfriend the other should be on the Asshat list!  Even though he is an asshat, I loved his character.

For me, Collide is about fate, we never know what’s in store for us.  Even when we think we have our lives mapped out, everything changes.  I was taken on such an emotional ride while reading Collide and I enjoyed every minute of it.  I admit I am not the biggest fan of an angsty romance but if Collide were written any other way it wouldn’t have been as amazing of a story as it was.

As for the end of this read, all I can say is WOW!!!  I can’t wait for the next novel, in fact it’s damn near killing me to wait for it!!!  If you are looking for a true emotional love story that will make you smile and have your heart aching at the same time, look no further, Collide by Gail McHugh should be your next read 🙂  N. 4/5

An ARC copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review
