Double Full – by Kindle Alexander
Book 1 – Good Guys Series
RELEASE DATE: October 8, 2013
Up and coming football hero, Colton Michaels, makes a Hail Mary pass one night in the college locker room that results in the hottest, sexiest five days of his young life. However, interference after the play has him hiding his past and burying his future in the bottom of a bottle. While Colt seems to have it all, looks can be deceiving, especially when you’re trapped so far in a closet that you can’t see your way out. When ten years of living his expected fast-lane lifestyle lands him engaged to his manipulative Russian supermodel girlfriend, he decides it’s time to call a new play.
Jace Montgomery single-handily built the largest all-star cheerleading gym in the world, driven by a need to forget a life-altering encounter with a handsome quarterback a decade ago. His reputation as an excellent coach, hard-nosed business man, and savvy entrepreneur earned him respect in the sometimes catty world of competitive cheerleading. When Jace learns of his ex-lover’s plans to marry, his heart executes a barrel roll and his carefully-placed resolve tumbles down without a mat to absorb the shock. Can his island escape help him to finally let go of the past and move his life forward?
Colt’s heart hitched in his chest as he fumbled with the weights, losing balance when he dropped the heavy bar into the rack. His entire focus was on the male cheerleader, who currently executed a flawless stunt with a cheerleading try-out hopeful, in the gym right next to the weight room.
Colt lifted, sitting straddled on the weight bench as he grabbed his towel and openly watched Jace effortlessly toss a girl in the air. Through the silence he could hear the deep, rich tones of Jace’s voice, giving his stunt partner detailed instruction and praising her. Whatever he said, must of worked because though both broke out in big grins. Colt’s dick took notice. Actually, his cock was past the point of noticing. He sported a full hard-on that he didn’t try to hide – the benefits of being alone in the gym.
Colt rose from the bench as Jace called the end of the practice. His few minutes of openly staring were about to an end. These times were far too rare and coming to a complete stop in the next few months. Like always, that thought caused a desperation. Out of everything in his life, he didn’t want to lose Jace.
Before the depression could settle in, Colt walked across the weight room. He ran the towel of his damp hair, and took a long drink from his water bottle. He knew Jace’s schedule. Even though they were alone, Jace would never stay in the locker for long. Colt just needed to wait for him. Tossing the towel aside, Colt tugged off his tennis shoes, grabbed his flip-flops and loaded everything inside his duffel. He had surely killed enough time.
Making his way out of the weight room, Colt ducked into the locker room. A quick jack-off would settle what was going on inside his shorts, no one would be the wiser. Opening the locker room door, Colt finally gave in, sliding his hand inside shorts. Thoughts of Jace, his raging hard-on, and his desperation to keep the guy in his life occupied his mind so completely he didn’t notice the sound of the water running and was already a few steps inside the showers when he came to an abrupt halt. There stood Jace, completely nude with the water of the shower cascading down his long, lean, muscular body.
Colt’s cock went into double time hard, he almost came right there. Nothing could make him take his eyes off Jace. His heart began to pound, he was having trouble catching his breath and right then he knew, this was his chance, their time was now. He had to make a move.

I need to collect panties and my heart.
Beautiful, warm, kind, loving, sensual, intense, sweet, hopeful, gorgeous, hot, passionate—are you getting the picture?
Kindle Alexander is the queen of m/m romance. She doesn’t just write stories about boys that kiss. Her stories are full of so much more than that. She has a way of working her way into your heart and bringing out all your emotions. Alexander writes stories that make your heart smile and give you a sense of promise for true love for anyone regardless of your sexuality. Yes, she writes male/male romance but that isn’t what her stories are about. Her stories are about finding the one who can right your world. Her stories are about second chances of love lost. Her stories are about giving in to your heart to find happiness. Her stories are LOVE.
Kindle Alexander brings us characters that struggle, that want what we all want—a happy forever. Her characters have great personality. They really bring the book to life. Colt and Jace are no exception. I love that Kindle Alexander develops characters that are strong yet vulnerable. They are beautiful but have scars to make them even more perfectly imperfect. They are intelligent but have judgment errors. Kindle Alexander’s characters have hearts that can be broken and then mended. They are people who we can relate to our own lives.
Having read Kindle Alexander’s other books Texas Pride and The Current Between Us, I was excited to say the least about reading Double Full. Oh and if you haven’t read these other two books, you need to remedy that. I knew that Double Full would be a fabulous read. What I didn’t expect were so many unassuming things about the book to make such a huge impact. Alexander has a way of writing in social issues that are not necessarily gay issues but are prominent in the gay community and how society is accepting or not, of gay people or people with different views. She does not write in stereotypes. Rather she writes with such sincerity and understanding.
I have to mention the secondary characters in Double Full. They are all so powerful in shifting your thoughts about the story both the good and the bad characters. And when you think you have one character pegged a certain way, they surprise you and zig when you though they would zag. There isn’t any time in the story where any of these characters are mere filler. You actually find yourself attempting to read a part of the story and envisioning where Kindle will take you with a character.
There hasn’t been a single one of Kindle alexander’s books that hasn’t made me cry, laugh and sigh with the notion that my heart is smiling. I will forever be a fan of Kindle Alexander and her stories. I am eagerly and excitedly waiting for the next book. Bring on more of these beautiful men and their even more beautiful stories of love and second chances. D 5/5

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. it never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to meet my writing partner. I would have never gotten through those dark days without her unwavering support and guidance. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. For the first time I used the hand offered. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her. It takes a special person to come stand beside someone at a time like that. I will love her forever. I could go on and on about both of them, but I won’t and now you know a little more About Me.
