Hey crew we are today’s stop on the EVERYTHING CHANGES by Shey Stahl Blog Tour. I need to let y’all know to get this on your TBR!!! I have said before that Shey can write. This book solidified that even more. Be sure to check out my review and enter the giveaway!!!
I knew a boy once. He was boy that changed everything.
Outside of the occasional smile and wink, I didn’t know Parker O’Neil, the AMA Supercross racer who came to our small town one summer and had no idea what he was capable of. So how could I have known that one summer vacation he would change my life forever?
That summer the occasional smile became a smile I grew to love and longed to see. The occasional wink became a gesture that made my soul sway and my heart ache. In the canyons of the desert he showed me his lifestyle and his love.
What I didn’t see was the control he had over me. It was a power the glitz and glamour of his professional lifestyle had and eventually what tore it apart.
In his world of banging bars and soaring jumps, there was no room for someone like me. But every summer for years there was his touch and everything changed again. It was a touch that could heal anything and a smile that could light the even the darkest lights
Mini Review (lost power last night for 6 hours)
I have said it before and I will say it again. Shey Stahl is one writer that needs to be on your literary radar. This gal can write with heart and sincerity without leaving you too overwhelmed or a crazy book hangover. EVERYTHING CHANGES is no exception. In fact for me, this is her best yet. Although I’m sure she’ll change my mind with the next one. Right from the opening paragraphs, I could not put this book down.
The character of Parker O’Neil is a book boyfriend we have not come across. Shey Stahl did an amazing job of creating, nurturing and bringing Parker to life. Throughout the entire book, I just wanted to love Parker. He was a personality that you were just drawn to. You wanted to make sure he felt loved and cared for. You wanted to feed off of his shy confidence. Parker was only 17 for the better part of the book but he had a maturity that was so sweet, yet so jaded. His heart was gold though.
Rowan, was a fabulous female primary character. The relationship between her and Parker was undeniable. You wanted… no needed them to be together. What I loved about Rowan was her insecurity. Yet she wasn’t a wishy washy stupid girl. You didn’t want to smack her or throw your ereader at her. You wanted to see her grow and evolve into the beautiful woman you just knew she would become.
Rowan and Parker’s relationship was so sweet, loving and kind. As intense as it was, it was how you remember or what you wish first love to be about. I have to mention, I absolutely loved how Stahl wrote about their physical love. I’m not going into detail about this as that was one of my favorite parts of the story and makes it worth the read.
Due to a power failure in my community, you will have to wait a few hours for the rest of my review. I’ll have it up tonight.
Shey Stahl is a romance writer who enjoys writing about racing and a good love story that will sweep you off your laughing ass. Growing up she was surrounded by racing watching her dad at the local Northwest tracks.
Writing wasn’t something she thought she would ever do but when a rough pregnancy landed her on bed rest three years ago, a passion was discovered. Now, aside from chasing around her little princess with magical powers, it’s rare for her to put down the pen.
Currently Shey is finishing up her series, Racing on the Edge, that follows a dirt track racer on his rapid rise to the glitz and glamour of NASCAR and the family who supports him.
