~NEW REVIEW~ The Proposition by Katie Ashley

I have to share an absolutely fabulous read with you all, The Proposition by Katie Ashley.  The fact that I have to wait for the next installment, The Proposal, is seriously going to cause me a lot of grief, thank you Katie Ashley for that 😉  I knew there was no way I was going to be able to put The Proposition down as I was completely invested by the end of the first chapter.  At one point I felt almost obsessed by the story and the characters.

I think many of us who have read this novel can relate to the main character of Emma on some level.  Emma is absolutely lovely and you can’t help but fall in love with her.  She has suffered so much tragedy in her life and I really wanted to see her get her happy ending… will she find all that she’s looking for?????  Aiden is the typical bad boy most of us would fall for (another Book Boyfriend alert!), knowing full-well that he will never be what we want or need him to be… will he change his ways for love?????  I love how brilliantly Katie Ashley has developed her supporting characters and how even the simplest character plays a significant role.  Brilliant character development!

The Proposition had me laughing while it tugged at my heartstrings, but not enough to leave me feeling pent-up full of angst.  This beautiful flirty and dirty read also had my heart racing, you know how much we loves us a HOT read and there is plenty of heat here ladies 🙂  What I really loved the most about The Proposition is that it made my heart feel happy while reading it! I loved feeling the characters falling in love even if they were unsure of their feelings and in denial.

Looking for a truly amazing read that will have you experiencing the ups and downs of falling in love, look no further, The Proposition by Katie Ashley is you next read 🙂  N. 5/5

What a cop out Katie! 99% and no ending! I’m not sure if I misread the blurb when I bought this book on Amazon or what? Personally as a selling tool …give it a miss! I am just really angry to find out that I bought an incomplete book!
The fact that the book is good is ruined for me by having to wait for 1 lousy % …this is very annoying and do I have to pay ????? how much for the final smidge of the book!

      Hi Carol,

Are you meaning that all of your novel did not download?? I have downloaded and read this novel and none of it was missing. If you do have any issues with the download, please contact the seller and they can correct.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Hmmmmm…. I agree with Carol on this one. I read it in one sitting and had pushed it up my TBR list because of all the positive rave. Not once had I heard of an incomplete ending. Or ‘cliff hanger’, even though I’m not going out of my mind wondering what happened. Don’t know if I’ll read The Proposal, maybe if I even remember that it’s the sequel to The Proposition. That’s what I hate about these type of books, if I would’ve known I would have just waited until the entire series was out & read it all together, other wise I tend to lose interest. This book seemed like it just stopped mid sentence…

Hi the last line in my book has ” Pop Its me I… (etc wont add more 8 more words)
…that’s it except to say ” to be continued in the proposal out March 15/ 2013!
then author thank yous etc… the download was complete! Perhaps Nic & D you were aware there was another book, I was not aware of this!
I think it would have been more appropriate for the author Katie to tell us this was Book 1! Then at least we would have been prepared for no resolution and leave we the reader Shat off!
Usually an author puts Book 1 on the cover … I mean if its good enough for Diana Gabaldon or Robin Hobb and others! Katie needs to do this too!
I’m with Christina … I’d advise people to wait until March and get both….or suffer an anger attack like me !

      Hi Carol,

I was not aware that there would be sequel to The Proposition before I finished reading it. I enjoyed The Proposition and was actually thrilled to find that there would be another novel, but that’s just me. I personally don’t have a problem waiting for the next read in the series to come out but I can understand where others may. I do not think it was the intention of the author to mislead anyone.

One thing to keep in mind though is that most of the authors we promote are indie authors, meaning they are independent of large publishing companies, without help to promote or market their novels. Many of these authors write these amazing stories and self publish them for you and I to read, not knowing if they will ever write another novel, let alone a sequel.
