Flirty and Dirty is seriously so proud to be a part of the Ruining You Blog Tour. Nicole Reed not only an amazing writer but she has a heart of gold. She is humble beyond belief and just wants to share her stories. If you haven’t read Ruining Me (#1) and Ruining You (#2), you are seriously missing out. I can’t even describe the emotions you will experience in this series. Nicole writes with so much depth and so much soul.
what she wants you to see and take from the Ruining Duo…
In writing Ruining Me and Ruining You, I wanted to add a real life, in-depth feeling of dealing with the harsh realities of depression and suicide. Whether someone is born with a pre-disposition to mental health issues or, in the case of my fictional character, Jay, experiences a life-changing event, many do not realize that the person suffering with these thoughts and feelings has no control over them. The intense pressure continually builds, and when there is no outlet, it has the capacity to lead to harmful tendencies.
In Ruining You, I wanted to show that, with the proper support and treatment, living is the ONLY choice, it is what you make it, and you just have to keep trying. Jay’s story is very near and dear to me. My heart goes out to the millions of people dealing with these feelings each and every day and the families of those who have suffered through the loss of suicide. Have compassion when those around you fight these battles and seek help when needed.
Title: Ruining You (Ruining #2) Ruining Me (Ruining #1)
Genre: New Adult
Released: January 26, 2013
For a girl who dared to tempt death, living is the only promise that matters now.
Jay’s life almost came to a forced end when her darkest secrets were revealed and the one who she chose to give her future to was ripped away. Now, everything she kept hidden is the topic of everyone’s conversation, and not all are sympathetic. Someone wants her horrific past to dictate her future, and another is determined to help her choose a different path.
In conclusion to Ruining Me, Kane and Rhye know that Jay is worth the fight, but waiting for her to find herself may ruin them all.
A little bit about the characters… y’all need to read the books to experience them and feel them but I do want to say that you will love every single one of them. They are all so different and layered. They offer so much to the story and there isn’t a single one you could do without. Take the journey with Jay, Kane, Rhye, JT, Cal, Eli, Reed and Molly.
So check out my review… Some things you should know– when I review I do not give spoilers of any kind. Not even tiny ones. I also review about the feelings and emotions a book elicits. I rarely write about specifics to the book. WHY? Cuz you need ot experience the book for yourself. My thoughts on reading are that every book is worth reading because they all tell their own story. The authors have all poured their heart and soul into their writes. That being said is every book for you… prolly not, but different journeys bring different thoughts and provocations. And this is what makes a book worth reading.
Ruining Me and Ruining You will bring feelings and emotions to their heights. You will definitely stop to reflect on this story. And although fiction, this story is every bit real…

About the author:
I love angst….I thrive on it, but only the fictional kind. I adore a story that grips the reader from the beginning and doesn’t let go…EVER. I’m an avid reader who just recently discovered my love of writing. My favorite things in life include my three wild & crazy kids, Reeses Pieces, and every genre of music.
