3.5✬✬✬✰ Fun Loving Stars . I admit, It took me a little longer to get into Screwdrivered, but once I did…Alice Clayton delivered.
I had high hopes for Screwdrivered. I wanted to be consumed by it, just as I was when I read Wallbanger. Unfortunately, I found it took much longer for Screwdrivered to suck me in which, was around 40%. But that last 60%… is exactly why I have come to love Alice Clayton’s storytelling.
For me, the problem I had getting into Screwdrivered was the character dynamics. Don’t get me wrong, Viv was a fun character but I didn’t feel as connected to her as I did to Caroline. I also felt there was too much alone time for her in the beginning of the book.
With the introduction of some testosterone into the story, Alice Clayton most definitely kept me on my toes wondering who would be Viv’s potential love interest. Hmmmm, cowboy or librarian? 😉 Definitely some hilarious banter and, great sexual tension.
It was also nice to get to see a little of Caroline and Simon but this was definitely Viv’s story.
I love Alice Clayton and I enjoyed Screwdrivered, was it one of my favourite books… Unfortunately no but, I still really enjoyed this read. It was funny and sexy. I had some great laughs and fell in love with a beautiful couple. Nic
