Unforgiven, an all-new sexy and emotional M/M love story from Ruth Clampett available now!!

Unforgiven by Ruth Clampett
Publication Date: March 9th, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Would you live a lie to hold onto the one you love?

Dean and Jason are best friends, like brothers since boyhood, now architecture students and college roommates. They’ve always had each other’s back, but when one walks in on the other with another man, everything changes. How do you explain to your best friend that he’s the one you’ve always wanted, that until now your life has been a lie?

Desperation and shame are two dirty words that run through Jason’s veins. He carries the scars from a wayward priest who stole his innocence and left him shattered. Meanwhile for years he’s watched Dean pursuing woman after woman, as his own heart slowly breaks.

When their world blows apart, they learn the powerful bond between them has more fire than either understood. Can two broken souls find the light in their darkness and come together to make a whole, or will sins of the past be forever unforgiven?

“What started all of this tonight? First I walk in on you having sex with yourself … then you grill me about having sex with Ramon … and then you suggest we have sex.” He rakes his fingers through his hair. “You’re making me crazy, dude. How much did you drink anyway?”

“Enough to loosen up and let my mind go places it normally doesn’t.”

His eyes light up. “I’ll say.”

“Hey, I’m really curious now. Will you let me fuck you? I promise I’ll follow what you want and take it slow.”

“Oh Jesus. Are you serious? So more experimenting, huh?”

“I think it’ll help me understand more about you.”

“You know when I said I needed more, this isn’t exactly what I meant. Don’t get me wrong, the idea of you fucking me is making me hard as hell, but it’ll just complicate things even more.”

“It doesn’t have to complicate things. Is it really so crazy to just want to make each other feel good?” I pause for a moment. “Come on, JJ.”

Lifting myself off the bed, I slowly approach him. As I get closer, I press my naked body into him so he’s up against the doorjamb, then I boldly rub my palm over his hard cock that’s trapped in his pajama bottoms.

I take a sharp breath because I’m shocked I’m even suggesting fucking my best friend. This is crazy, but feeling myself against him and imagining him naked under me is turning me on like a rocket with a sparking fuse.

He stands frozen, every part of him perfectly still, and then he gasps for air. “Please, Dean, please tell me you aren’t toying with me.”

I press my face into his neck. “I’m not toying with you, man. I don’t know what’s happening to me, but I have all these confusing feelings and my curiosity is through the roof. I’ve been so damn restless lately, and suddenly I have a feeling that if I turn a corner, I might find myself right where I need to be.”

Jason slides his arm along my lower back and curves his fingers around my side, then pulls me closer. “Don’t make me hope for something, and then crush me. I wouldn’t be able to take it. Our friendship means everything to me. It’s why I’m still standing and fighting for a future, when for a long time I wasn’t sure if I deserved one.”

I pull my head back so we can be face to face. It guts me to see so much pain in his eyes. Why the hell didn’t I see all of this before? He’s my best friend, dammit. I should have known he was hurting.

He shakes his head. “I can’t lose you, Dean. I can’t. Tread carefully, man.” His eyes are glazed like he’s fighting back tears.

I take his hand and guide him into my room. “You aren’t going to lose me. Maybe this whole thing of me learning your secrets happened to bring us closer.”

“I want that,” he whispers, and then more softly he murmurs, “I want you.”

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover ~BLOG TOUR~

“Colleen Hoover reminds readers that love is a fragile thing, built from courage, hope, and tears. Every person with a heartbeat should read this book.”

Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

With this bold and deeply personal novel, Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. Combining a captivating romance with a cast of all-too-human characters, It Ends With Us is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price.

It Ends with UsIt Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am still trying to process my emotions after reading, It Ends With Us a few months ago. Definitely a 5+++ read!

*WARNING – By choosing to read It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover you will embark on an incredibly touching, and emotional journey. You will laugh…You will cry…And you WILL be blown away by absolutely brilliant writing. Make sure you have tissues, vodka and chocolate ready to help ease your emotions. Happy Reading!

Colleen Hoover amazes me with every story she tells, but something about It Ends With Us is different. I knew within the first few pages, this book would not be put down until the very last page had been turned… I also knew that this was a story that would probably bury its self deep in my heart.

Colleen Hoover always fills her stories with well-developed, fabulous characters we can’t help but fall in love with. Lily’s strength and determination made her real and relatable, a lovely character. Then there is Ryle… Well, I can’t really say anything about Ryle without possibly spoiling the story, so I’ll just go with WOW! Alyssa and Marshall are adorable — one word comes to mind when I think of Marshall, “onsie” 😉 . Now, there are some book characters who are forever ingrained in our minds after we meet them, and although I loved every single brilliantly written character in this story, one character stood out for me and I don’t think I will ever be able to forget him…Atlas. I can’t wait for you to meet Atlas. My heart melts when I think of this character and I’m sure yours will too.

So much of It Ends With Us tugged at my heart and honestly, I feared this book would utterly destroy me. Not gonna lie, I cried reading this one. I cried heart-broken tears and I cried happy tears. But I wasn’t destroyed…I was enlightened. Within the pages of It Ends With Us there is a lesson. There will be readers who can relate to this lesson and there will be readers who may know someone who, can relate to this lesson. But I really do feel like, It Ends With Us is more than just a fictional romance. Just keep swimming has such a deeper meaning for me now.

It Ends With Us is an incredible read, one of my favourites from Colleen Hoover. Definitely a book I highly recommend. Nic

*Make sure to read the Note From the Author at the end of the story, but PLEASE, make sure you read it at the end. Do not jump a head.

Flirty and Dirty Book Blog’s Review of November 9 by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m speechless, having just finished Colleen Hoover’s latest novel, November 9. I’ll admit when I first started November 9, I was hooked but…I wasn’t feeling the feels that I had hoped to. I’ve read enough by this fabulous author to know that they were headed my way, when…BANG…They hit me—hard! Sweet and tender, angsty and gut-wrenching…November 9 was just…WOW!

November 9 is such a unique story with unique characters. Fallon is a character that stole my heart immediately. You would have to be heartless to not feel for this beautiful girl, once you learn her story. And Ben…Ben was swoon-worthy from the get go, but there was something about him that I didn’t sit right, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it until…Until Colleen Hoover hit me with a big-ass gobsmacking shocker!!!! Did NOT see that coming! I honestly thought my heart had been destroyed!

November 9 is one of those reads where you think you have it all figured out, but you never really do… So many WOW moments in this story. And then there’s the feels…OH THE FEELS! My heart went on quite the emotional ride—grab your tissues ladies, I sobbed like a baby—and it was so worth it.

Another unforgettable story with beautiful, tortured souls who have consumed my thoughts and my heart. November 9 is a story I won’t soon forget. If you’re looking for a story to steal your heart, November 9 needs to be on your TBR!  Nic

Amber to Ashes by Gail McHugh is FINALLY HERE!!! ~Blog Tour, Review & Giveaway~

From the New York Times bestselling author of Collide and Pulse comes a gritty new novel about a shattered young woman who unexpectedly falls for two best friends as she struggles to overcome the trauma of her tormented childhood.

They were a storm I never saw coming, an unforeseen heartbreak on the edge of a dangerous cliff.

Amber Moretti’s life changes in the span of minutes. An orphaned outsider, she is desperate to start fresh the moment she walks onto campus. In the time it takes to cross the university’s dining hall, she meets two men who bring color, air, and light to her darkened world.

They became my addiction, each a needle to my next hit, my high.

Brock Cunningham’s appeal is dizzying, a potent force Amber can’t deny. A green-eyed smooth talker, he instantly attracts Amber. It doesn’t take long for him to consume her every thought, her every breath.

Ryder Ashcroft, a blue-eyed, tattooed, and pierced bad boy, turns Amber off immediately—that is, until he kisses her, stealing a piece of her heart, her soul.

They were as opposite as fire and ice, yet I ached for them equally.

Never knowing she could be broken down in so many unexpectedly beautiful yet petrifying ways, Amber finds herself falling for both men.

Immoral? Maybe. I say undeniable. Uncontained.

But one event changes everything, shattering each of their lives…and Amber isn’t sure she can come back from it.

The Librarian Principle by Helena Hunting ⭐️Blog Tour and Review⭐️

Annaliese Harper knows that one tiny mistake can jeopardize a career before it’s even begun. Letting your boss find the extensive collection of porn on your personal laptop is one way. Sleeping with him is another. Liese manages to do both.

As the new librarian at a prestigious small-town private high school, Liese is drawn to her sexy, charismatic principal, Ryder Whitehall—an attraction she refuses to acknowledge given their relationship and her recent liberation from a delusional ex-boyfriend.

Liese is certain Ryder’s flirtation is the product of her sex-deprived imagination—until he discovers her digital porn stash during working hours and demands a private meeting. Behind closed doors, their attraction explodes into a dangerous, passionate affair that not only threatens their jobs and reputations, but most of all, their hearts.

Profile portrait of businessman working on laptop in black suit at studio

“You have no idea how much trouble you’re in.” His tone held none of the subversive humor that typically colored their private exchanges.

She swallowed thickly as he stopped in front of her. Even at his most relaxed, she found his presence intimidating, but the way he loomed over her now made her weak in the knees. The notion their relationship could be anything more than professional should never have entered her mind, no matter the temptation.

“I can explain.” Her eyes darted around the room in search of an escape she knew didn’t exist.

“Your office. Now,” he ordered, grabbing her laptop in one hand and her wrist with the other.

Even though she was horrified, his warm fingers wrapped around her wrist thrilled her. The pull she fought ignited, flashing across her skin like fire. And then she remembered this might be the end of her career. He propelled her into the library office and dropped the laptop on her desk. He released her wrist and shut the door, turning the lock.

“Do you have any idea—” His eyes blazed, the words cut short as he tugged at his tie. Liese watched nervously as he paced the room, his head down, fingers gripping the back of his neck, jaw working as he ground his teeth together. She couldn’t begin to imagine what he would do if he saw some of the other images she’d saved.

He gestured to the laptop. “What the hell was that?”

Liese jumped, a squeaky sound came out of her, and she clapped a hand over her mouth. Ryder rarely raised his voice.

It would be in her best interest not to reveal that her best friend had created a series of photoshopped pictures of the two of them in compromising positions. She also thought it wise not to say anything about the folder she’d created to store them, or how they fed her unhealthy infatuation with him. Or how they functioned as her primary source of masturbatory material.

“It was mostly a joke,” she mumbled.

“Do you think this is funny?” He looked incredulous as he towered over her, but his voice was smooth silk. Livid though he was, the tension between them pulsed like shock waves through the air.

“Not particularly, no,” Liese replied, refusing to look away for fear of appearing weak, or guilty. If she could maintain a facade of self-righteous indignation, maybe he wouldn’t touch her laptop again. In her peripheral vision, Liese noted the way his hands continued to clench and unclench at his sides.

“Where did that picture come from? Are there more?”

Much to her dismay, his palm settled on the laptop.

“I really wouldn’t—”

Ryder ignored her half-made request and flipped it open. It only took a few seconds for the screen to flicker to life and the advertisement to pop up. The gif played in a loop, the vigorous pumping continuing endlessly.

Liese sighed. “I don’t think there’s a way to explain this without it sounding incredibly bad.”

She buried her face in her hands and wished she could disappear as Ryder began to inspect the advertisement. Liese peeked through her fingers to watch him lean forward, hands splayed on either side of the laptop. Ryder squinted at the image, and then looked her over. His eyes moved down her body and back up, tracking her with an expression that bordered on predatory. Satisfied fascination knotted Liese’s stomach as the change took place: the undeniable draw she’d kept in check all this time echoed in his eyes. Some invisible line had been crossed, and Liese doubted she’d be able to return to the safety of the other side—the side where she pretended the attraction was all in her head.

“Please tell me that’s not you.” A note of aggression lent a sharp and bitter tang to the words. His fingers flexed against the desk, the tips turning white with pressure.

“It’s not my body,” Liese whispered, shaking her head.

“You’re quite sure about that?”

“It’s photoshopped.”

“Is that so?” He quirked an eyebrow, relief relaxed the tense line of his jaw. Ryder inspected the scene, apparently no longer fazed by the naked, gyrating bodies now that he knew she hadn’t made a porno and pasted his head on her previous partner. Ryder minimized the picture, allowing a series of folders to pop up on the screen.

~~~5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ MUST READ ALERT~~~ The Librarian Principle is FABULOUS!!! Helena Hunting ROCKED this book and I can’t wait for you to meet Annaliese Harper and Ryder Whitehall
Don’t you love when you start a new book, and not even two pages in — you’re hooked?? That was me when I started The Librarian Principle. Helena Hunting has nailed it! I figured this was going to be a sexy hot read from the teasers, but I had no idea how funny and endearing it also would be. This light read has something for everyone 🙂
Honestly, I have been trying to write this review for over a week now and I know that no matter how I write it, it won’t do this book justice. So here goes 😉
The characters in The Librarian Principle are fabulous! Annaliese (Liese) is sweet and witty, just a really fun character. But behind this sweet girl is sexy little vixen 😉 Ryder is delicious, but I won’t tell you too much about him because you need to read this book to figure him out. But I will tell you he’s one of my top book boyfriends this year! And then there is Marissa, Liese’s best friend! EVERY woman needs a best friend like this!!!
I have loved all of Helena Hunting’s books, but The Librarian Principle is by far my favourite. The comical banter between characters is fabulous. There are a few scenes I wasn’t expecting and they literally had me snorting, I laughed so hard. What is it about first impressions? 😉 But, this book is also a sexy read. Packed with sexy tension you won’t find unnecessary gratuitous sexy time in this book! Helena Hunting knows how to write steaminess!
If you have been in a reading slump this year, like I have, and have been looking for something to pull you from your slump, I highly recommend you read Helena Hunting’s The Librarian Principle. This quick read is one you won’t be able to put down, or forget. I’m ready for a reread!  Nic
Mai Tai’d (Book 4 in the Cocktail series) by Alice Clayton ~Blog Tour & Review~
Looking for the perfect mix of smart, sexy, and sassy? Mai Tai’d Up continues New York Times bestselling author Alice Clayton’s Cocktail series, which began with Wallbanger and continued with Rusty Nailed and Screwdrivered.
The gossip mill in the seaside community of Monterey is churning about Chloe Patterson, the newcomer who is starting a sanctuary for rescued pit bulls. It’s rumored that she’s a former beauty queen (true) who ditched her fiancé the morning of their wedding (also true). And that while she’s not looking for a new man, the good-looking local veterinarian has his eye on her. Absolutely, positively true.
When Lucas Campbell isn’t at the family veterinary clinic, he’s paddle boarding in Monterey Bay. Recently single, he’s definitely not in the market for a new relationship, but he still can’t resist taking a second, third, and fourth look at the recent arrival of Miss Golden State.
Neither Lucas nor Chloe has any interest in being tied down. Being tied up, however—now there’s a thought. But are a few Mai Tais, a moonlit night, and the music of Frank Sinatra enough to allow them both to forget their past? Let’s hope Ol’ Blue Eyes knows what he’s doing.
Mix one part tiki, one part kinky, and a splash of old black magic matchmaking, and it’s time to be . . . Mai Tai’d Up.
Mai Tai'd Up (Cocktail, #4)Mai Tai’d Up by Alice Clayton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Alice Clayton, THANK YOU! Mai Tai’d was a fabulous read and exactly what I was looking for! Heartwarming, funny and chocked full of sexual tension. I couldn’t put this book down… Made for some very late night reading 😉
I was immediately drawn to Chloe, another brilliant character created by Ms. Clayton. Right from the first few pages I needed to know who this character was and what the future had in store for her. Another strong, independent woman…There seriously aren’t enough of these characters around.
Lucas…OMG!! How can you not fall for a veterinarian with Prince Harry hair! Kryptonite indeed!!! Next to Simon, Lucas is my is my favourite Cocktail series book boyfriend. He’s sweet and funny and when you learn his story — your jaw will literally hit the floor!!!
All of the character in the story is brilliantly written — especially Sammy Davis Jr! He stole my heart. As did several of his four-legged friends. Stories that included animals…all good in my books 😉
Once I started Mai Tai’d I couldn’t put it down. The story was heartwarming and sweet, and packed full of brilliant sexual tension that kept me wanting more…DAMN! Loved the build-up between the characters
I dare you not to get sucked into Mai Tai’d. Fabulous characters, two-legged and four-legged, true to life situations, quirky reference to the Rat Pack that completely set the tone for this fab read! I really don’t know what else to say other than this book is not to be missed. A Funny, mildly-angsty, sexy read that I won’t soon forget.  Nic
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
5++++++ This is one of the most incredible books I have ever read. You MUST add The Unimaginable to your TBR!
I have been trying to write this review for sometime, unsure of how to express just how amazing this book truly is. So here goes.
I found The Unimaginable to be an incredible, emotional journey of a young woman setting out on her own for the first time in her life. This beautifully descriptive story had my full attention right away, making me want to know more about the lovely young woman I had just met, and where her story would take me.
The characters are beautifully written and well-developed and I felt an immediate connection to them all thanks to Ms. Silver’s brilliant writing. Particularly to one little boy, whose presence touched my heart deeply. There is also no denying the strength of the relationships between the characters in this story. Whether the relationship is one of friendship, love or fear, Ms. Silver was able to make me feel the connection. I dare you not to fall in love with Jessica, Quinn and Grant.
I’m not sure what I was expecting when I started reading The Unimaginable, but I definitely wasn’t prepared to be sitting up at three in the morning, heart in my throat and tears in my eyes. So many emotions in this fabulous book. I won’t lie, Dina Silver completely broke my heart and I’m not sure if I can forgive her…You’ll see 😉 The Unimaginable is like nothing I have read this year and for all my heart may have been broken, I found this to be a very uplifting story.
If you are looking for a beautiful adventure with the added touch of a tummy-fluttering romance. A journey that will your break your heart and mend it back together… Look no further, The Unimaginable is one of my favourite books of 2014 and I hope it will be one of yours.  Nic
“Excuse me.”
My thoughts were elsewhere when I heard a man’s voice and then looked up from the dustpan to see him standing at my classroom door. His voice was strong and captivating, much like the rest of him.
“Can I help you?” I asked, and we locked eyes. His smile made me catch my breath.
“Sorry to interrupt. I would like to make a donation to the school.”
I brushed some loose hairs out of my eyes. “How are you with a broom?”
“Horrible.” He looked around. “But I’m a great storyteller.”
He was older than me, late thirties maybe, with rugged good looks. I guessed it’d been at least two days since he shaved. But he was tall and strikingly handsome, and his comment piqued my interest.
“Maybe you’d like to come to one of my classes and share your stories.”
He cocked his head and rubbed the back of his neck, then nodded. “Okay, you’re on.”
My face lit up. “Really? I didn’t think you’d actually say yes.”
“Then why’d you ask?” I let out a small laugh.
“I would love to.” He took a couple steps closer. “You look familiar,” he said with a knowing glance.
“I do?”
“Yes.” He crossed his arms. “I just said you did.”
I shrugged and then leaned the broom against the desk and extended my hand. “I’m Jessica. I’m a teacher here, and also the assistant director.”
He shook my hand, and I felt it in my heart.
“Grant Flynn. Nice to meet you, Jessica. You’re American?”
“I sure am. Sounds like you are as well.”
He nodded. “How long have you been in Thailand?”
“About four months.”
“Have you been with the school the whole time?” he asked.
“I have. It’s been a wonderful experience.”
He crossed his arms again and studied me. “I see,” he said, not taking his eyes off of me. “Are you the right person to talk to about making a donation? I’d like to leave a check if that’s all right.”
“Of course, yes.”
He grabbed his checkbook from his front pocket and pulled a pen from behind his ear. His presence put my nerves on high alert, and the irony that I was behaving like a giddy schoolgirl was not lost on me either.
“Thank you, Mr. Flynn. This is very kind of you.”
Many visitors to Phuket would come by the local schools and leave donations. It was sort of a ritual for some, a way to leave their mark, a gesture of kindness for many boaters to visit the schools and bring supplies or leave a small contribution of a hundred dollars or so.
“Please call me Grant,” he said as he wrote.
I stood behind him dusting myself off when Sophie walked in.
“Hey, mate, what are you doing here?” she asked.
Both Grant and I looked at her, but he answered. “Told you I was going to come by this week.”
“Right. You met my girl, Jess, did ya?”
He turned to me. “I did. She was helping me decide whether my donation should be manual labor or monetary, but I’m going to stick with my original plan.”
He tore the check out and handed it to me.
“You two know each other?” I asked.
“Grant’s been coming in to The Islander all week,” she said.
He pointed at me. “That’s where I know you from.”
I nodded. “Thank you,” I said, taking the check from him. “I’ll see that our director gets this today, and I look forward to hearing your stories.”
I glanced down and nearly gasped when I saw the check was for five thousand dollars.
“I appreciate it.” He touched my shoulder. “See you later,” he said to Sophie, then waved his hand over his head and walked out, allowing me to breathe freely once again.
Sophie and I went to the window and watched as he got into his rental car.
“You know him from the bar?” I asked.
“He and his mate have been coming in every night. I’m surprised you haven’t seen them. They’re docked at the marina, both Americans.”
“Niran had me on lunches last week.”
“He’s a charmer, eh?”
I nodded. “And quite generous.”
“How generous?” she asked.
“Five thousand dollars generous.”
“Shit, no,” she said, and whisked the check from my grip. “Skylar’s going to freak. You working tonight?”
“Nope. Not until Saturday.”
“All right then. See you later,” she said, and left.
I picked the broom up and saw the bus arrive, but all
I could think about was Grant Flynn.
When I came to school the next morning there was a package at the front door with my name on it. Inside were two DustBusters and a note that read: These are more my speed. I’ll see you in class tomorrow morning.
Taming The Storm by Samantha Towle ~Blog Tour & Review~
blogtour_TamingTheStorm_banner TamingTheStormeBookAm
Lyla Summers hates men. Okay, maybe hate is a strong word … Lyla intensely dislikes men.
Her father has let her down her whole life. Her brother betrayed her in the worst way possible. And her past relationship experiences with men have been less than great. Lyla is focussing all her energy into her band, Vintage, so when they receive an offer to sign with TMS Records, it seems that things are finally turning around for her. The last thing she wants is a man getting in the way.
Tom Carter loves women. Okay, love might be pushing it … Tom enjoys screwing lots of women.
When tragedy befalls his best friend, Tom finds himself making a promise to the big man upstairs – he’ll change his ways, if he saves the woman his best friend loves. Tom’s prayer is answered. Now he has to change. Which means no sleeping around.
After Vintage’s manager breaks her leg skiing, Tom steps in as tour manager, and Lyla finds herself on tour with the man whore of rock.
Put one perpetually horny Tom and one sex resistant Lyla together, equals a recipe for disaster. Or so you’d think…
But an unexpected friendship is formed. A closeness neither of them expected. Putting one chastity belt and one lamp that is in desperate need of rubbing, to the test.
Will the sex storm that is Tom Carter, finally find himself tamed by the rock chick with a hardened heart, or will he go back to his womanizing ways…?
TTS countdown teaser #2
“But you said…” I frown.
He gives a slow shrug of his shoulders. “Never intended to sleep with her. I was just”—Tom rubs his head thoughtfully and then smirks—“putting on a show.”
Mother. Effer.
He played me.
All that in there—he was just doing it to drive my jealousy to the front.
“You-you’re a…mother-effing mut!” I hiss.
“Yeah, and you’re the sexiest fucking thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Sleep well, Firecracker.”
Taming the Storm (The Storm, #3)Taming the Storm by Samantha Towle
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I have been waiting for Tom’s story for what feels like forever. Thank you Samantha Towle for not disappointing. I can tell you that it was most definitely worth the wait 🙂 I have ignored my family completely while reading this one <3
This brilliant storyteller knows how to captivate her audience! I couldn’t get enough of Tom and Lyla. Be warned though…This is the HOTTEST Storm book yet! Tom and Lyla are scorching together and Taming The Storm is guaranteed to leave your E-reader looking for a cigarette. Once this story heats up, it gets hotter and hotter! Light on the angst, but chocked full of sexual tension, you won’t be able to get enough.
What I really enjoyed about Taming The Storm is that it was different from the first two books in the series. Yes, the characters we have come to love were present but not in the same sense that they were in the first book. There are new characters. And I enjoyed getting to know them all. Please Samantha Towle, tell me you are working on a book for Cale, I would love to get to know him better 🙂 YUM! Lyla was a great character, very true to a woman of her age when faced with a MUT as fine as Tom 😉 You’ll understand the term after you read the book. Tom is definitely a bad boy that leaves the ladies clenching! Rub the Lamp…who knew 🙂 But as much as I loved Tom and his story, Jake Weathers still holds my heart.
Taming The Storm was a FAB read. I thoroughly enjoyed the banter between the characters , it was hysterical at times. Samantha Towle also had me in stitches with some of the pet names she came up with. And I loved the references she made to songs…LOVED IT! If you are in the mood for scorching HOT, sexy rock star read that you won’t be able to put down, this book is for you! But if you are looking for a carbon copy of Tru and Jake’s story, you won’t find it here.  Nic
Rusty Nailed by Alice Clayton ~Blog Review Tour~
In this sequel to Wallbanger, the second book in the Cocktail series, fan favorites Caroline and Simon negotiate the rollercoaster of their new relationship while house-sitting in San Francisco.
Playing house was never so much fun—or so confusing. With her boss on her honeymoon, Caroline’s working crazy long hours to keep the interior design company running—especially since she’s also the lead designer for the renovation of a gorgeous old hotel on Sausalito. So with her hotshot photographer boyfriend gallivanting all over the world for his job, she and Simon are heavy-duty into “absence makes the heart grow fonder” mode. Neither has any complaints about the great reunion sex, though! Then Simon decides he’s tired of so much travelling, and he’s suddenly home more. A lot more. And wanting Caroline home more, too. Though their friends’ romantic lives provide plenty of welcome distraction, eventually Caroline and Simon have to sort their relationship out. Neither wants “out of sight, out of mind,” but can they create their own happy mid-ground cliché?
USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton delivers another delicious, frothy cocktail of a book, shaking up her characters, stirring in laugh-out-loud humor, and serving sizzling romance straight up!
Let me start with that this has been the funniest & sexiest book I have read this year. I enjoyed Wallbanger but this one blew me away. It was such  an amazing love story told in such a fun way that had me laughing my ass off and crying the next with how sweet this story was. The friendship of this group is beyond filled with love and drama but i want more. I love this group of friends but lets not forget how this story started….Wallbanger and Nighty  girl…..Oh how they come a long way and bless them for such an amazing journey. Simon is still the hottest guy on this planet and how he finally becomes comfortable in his own skin is so sweet to see happen. He goes from globe-trotting all over the world with his camera to wanting to just stay put and feeling out his life. And then we have our leading lady Caroline who is so brilliant with her sass and admitting what  is really going on in her pretty little head. I love how this story just picked up where we left off but I have to say it was WAY better. The humor and the story was so well written and I just could not put the book down. I read it in one day.  The tale of this couple is so romantic and sexy that we just hope that no drama can shake their world. I kept thinking something crappy was going to happen but you just read how two people just unfold  a life that is filled with one leading  the other to the unknown  of what people think a relationship should be like.Clive ….really, how can a cat play such in important role in a book but he did and well-played Alice….This book was so amazing that I could read it again and again, just for the laughs alone.
BIG ASS 5 STARS – Davetta
Rusty Nailed (Cocktail, #2)Rusty Nailed by Alice Clayton My rating: 4 of 5 stars I am so in love with Alice Clayton’s Cocktail series. Rusty Nailed was FABULOUS!!! I am praying that this isn’t the last we see of Caroline “Nightie Girl” Reynolds and Simon “Wallbanger” Parker. I am seriously crushing on both of these characters and am not even close to letting them go yet. Again, I couldn’t put this book down. Alice Clayton sucked me right back into Caroline and Simon’s story and had me in stitches. I nearly woke my husband trying to stifle my laughs. I swear anything to do with the girls and the Sophia and Neil storyline…BANG ON! The banter between the characters is genuine and had me feeling like I had reunited with old friends. Loved where the story went with these two loveable characters navigating this new phase of their lives. I fell in love with Simon a little more in Rusty Nailed, after learning about his past. And Clive, how could I forget Clive. I love this cool cat! This story wouldn’t have been the same without him and I am thrilled that Ms. Clayton gave us more… LOVED the harem! 😉 I have found a new go to author when I am looking for a hilarious, feel-good, sexy read…Alice Clayton. Life has enough ups and downs and it’s great to have found a light read full of story, humour and sexy hot goodness. Can’t wait to see what Alice Clayton has next for us.  Nic
