FIFTY SHADES DARKER – In Theaters February 10

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades Darker, the second chapter based on the worldwide bestselling “Fifty Shades” phenomenon.  Expanding upon events set in motion in 2015’s blockbuster film that grossed more than $560 million globally, the new installment arrives for Valentine’s Day and invites you to slip into something a shade darker.

When a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance.  As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.

Also returning from Fifty Shades of Grey are Academy Award® winner Marcia Gay Harden, Jennifer Ehle, Victor Rasuk, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini, who are joined for the first time by Oscar® winner Kim Basinger, Bella Heathcote and Eric Johnson.

Fifty Shades Darker is directed by James Foley (Fear, House of Cards) and once again produced by Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and Marcus Viscidi, alongside E L James, the creator of the culture-spanning blockbuster series.  The screenplay is by Niall Leonard, based on the novel by James.

Grey
by E.L. James

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Grey was a solid 5-star read for me! If I can’t put a book down, if it consumes my thoughts and if I have a book-hangover after I finish it… It’s a 5-star read. So thank you E L James for my most recent book-hangover <3

So many people have been complaining that Grey was no different than FSOG, I’m really not sure what they were expecting from an alternate point of view. Did I feel like it was a retelling of the story??? Of course I did but it was how Christian viewed every situation… It was the same but different. As with any book told from an alternate POV, the general storyline is the same but how this character interprets the story was definitely different.

Christian Grey is such an in-depth character, and I definitely saw more depth of his character in Grey. His childhood, his views on himself and how deeply he fell in love without even knowing it. I don’t view him nearly as dark a man as I had when I read FSOG. I have definitely fallen deeper for this book boyfriend!

I also found Grey to be much more erotic than FSOG. Hearing Christian’s words and thoughts… GAH!!!!! H-O-T!!! So much more sensual. If you’re pulse isn’t racing or your thighs clenching after reading some of the scenes as told by Christian…You have issues 😉

It was bittersweet to finish reading Grey, especially since I need MORE!!! I am praying E L James will take pity on us die-hard fans and give us Christian’s POV for each book… I NEED MORE!

Grey won’t be for everyone, some people won’t like it because they are expecting an entirely different story. But, for those of you die-hards like myself, you ARE going to get Christian…and all of his Fifty Shades.

FIFTY SHADES of GREY Trailer ~ What did ya think?

Check out the trailer!! We are so excited for this movie.

Yes we know, everyone has their idea of who Ana and Christian should be played by but we are actually loving Dakota and Jamie. Above all the movie is more than the cast. What E.L. James did for women readers and women writers was monumental. She revived a hobby (the love of reading) and made it okay for women to read and write whatever we want.

Leave us your thoughts and comments. Remember no bashing!!

E L James Vancouver Book Signing……

O.M.G. D and I had such an incredible day meeting the FABULOUS E L James and her equally FABULOUS husband, Author Niall Leonard.

Here are just a few of the pics from our day 🙂

So Christian Grey and Anna Steele have been cast…….

1185301_434399773343366_1319543684_n Dakota Johnson as Anastasia (Anna) Steele

Is there anyone on the planet not yet aware that the lead roles in the E L James’ Fifty Shades of Grey movie, Christian Grey and Anna Steele, have been cast!!!!  Time to REJOICE people!!!  It’s really happening!!! Eeeeep!!!  *straightens self up and clears throat*  There has been a lot of controversy  surrounding the casting of the lead characters of one of the most highly anticipated movies since the Twilight saga but I have to say that I am looking forward to seeing what Mr. Hunnam and Ms. Johnson are going to bring to the silver screen!!!   I think most of us expected some controversy surrounding the choices but I must say I’m truly appalled at some of the comments that have been sent to Ms. James and these brilliant actors!

I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for 2014!!!!
