BLURB

Music was was part of my DNA, pumping hard through my veins, resonating deep within my bones. Not surprising, considering my dad was a global rock star and my mom had the voice of a fallen angel.

With my twin sister by my side in our indie-rock duo, Singed Wings, we were ready to finally see our name in lights when we opened for the hottest act to sell out stadiums – Jobu’s Rum Summer Reunion Tour.

The life I’d always wanted was finally within my reach. All I had left to do was finish out my last semester of high school.

But there was one problem: Ms. Sloan, the new art history teacher.

The same Ms. Sloan I’d met as Belle, the sexy little pixie who’d captivated me at a New Year’s Eve concert last year.

The same Ms. Sloan who’d owned nearly every one of my thoughts since that night.

The same Ms. Sloan whose class I was in danger of failing.

With my dream gig dangling just on the other side of that cap and gown, all of my focus should’ve been on my school work and improving my music as I prepared for my big shot to rock the world…

But I never expected her to rock mine first… and to change everything.

*Everything is a standalone novel. It is a spin-off from the Book Boyfriend Series.*

SURVIVING US by Erin Noelle~ Review

Hey crew,
I absolutely love Erin Noelle’s stories. Her stories are a great escape from the grind and quick to get into. SURVIVING US was no exception. Check out my review.

Surviving UsSurviving Us by Erin Noelle

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I think this is Erin Noelle’s best work yet. Surviving Us dealt with tragedy without making me feel like I was drowning in it. She balanced the angst with some great humour and sexiness. Both Davis and Bristol were well developed characters who were believable and had great chemistry together. The setting of the story set the pace for the book and made the instant attraction viable and realistic. I also loved the range of secondary characters that we were introduced in the story. I admit I’d love to see more of Kayden. He definitely has a story to tell.
Reading Surviving Us, I can really see the growth in Noelle’s writing. There was more depth and life to this story and I have loved all her books. It’s been a while since I have cried reading a book and darn it if I didn’t have the tears falling with this one.
Surviving Us is a quick read and one that doesn’t leave you bored or missing out. It’s a great weekend read.

AS THE DAWN BREAKS (Novella) by Erin Noelle~Review

As the Dawn Breaks (Dusk Til Dawn, #1.5)As the Dawn Breaks by Erin Noelle

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Yay we got Leo’s story!
This was a perfect novella to go along with When The Sun Goes Down. From his introduction in the first book, I loved his character. Leo is a gentle, protective soul. He loves with everything he has and loyalty is taken very seriously with him.
Being that it is a novella there are some things that have to be assumed and inferred. It’s hard not to want more about this character. There was one part to Leo’s story that I would have liked getting closure on as it was a big concern and played a part in where and why his character started out in the story.
I love that Noelle made he male m/c’s character wear his heart on his sleeve. He didn’t come across as too soft, rather he was thoughtful, attentive (in oh so many ways) and loving.
The story line with the female m/c was great and fit the characters perfectly. It’s also one that isn’t touched on very often and the female m/c is relatable and realistic.
Definitely read When The Sound Goes Down before reading this. You need the back story to fully understand where leo is coming from.
As The Dawn Breaks is a quick read that will melt your heart.

CONSPIRE by Erin Noelle and S.E. Hall~ Cover and Excerpt

Coming: August 26, 2014
Synopsis
“He wants answers.
She wants freedom.
The search is over…when they Conspire.”
Excerpt

Jocelyn:

“Race ya there,”
I snicker, darting towards the bedroom I moved our clothes into, tossing his
bag into the hall.
            Let the games begin.
Somehow, he beats me down to the
water – imagine that. With steeled armor, I keep my face stoic, my gait and
candor unfazed, as I approach, despite the urge to snicker at his bulged-out
eyes and jaw dropped into the ocean.
And yeah, I noticed his hand dip
below the surface to adjust himself; doesn’t always shrink in cold water it would seem.
His head jerks left, right, then
back to me as his eyes narrow to accusatory slits. “What’re you thinking,
Trouble? Public beach,” he sputters.
            Doe-eyed innocence, my lips twist
cleverly. “Not for two miles either direction it isn’t. Besides, what’s the
problem?” Surely it’s not my string-thong
bikini bottoms and lack of a top?
If you told anyone, even Lys who’s known me forever, they’d bet on hell
freezing over twice before believing
I’m capable of such audacious, brazen antics, but I’m embracing it, rejoicing
in the Jocelyn he brings out. Alive; seeing clearly, smelling flowers miles
away, hearing the faintest of sounds – like I just started partaking in, and
enjoying
, the world that’s surrounded me my whole life.
His mouth curves upward at the
corner, a twinkle in his eyes reflecting off the water as he beckons me to him
with the leisurely crook of his finger.
“Moi?” I mouth, pointing to myself.
My whole body’s buzzing, sexy satisfaction razoring through me as he slowly
nods. “Alright,” I huff in feigned inconvenience.
I walk into the water as he walks
out, hoisting me up as we meet, wrapping my legs around his waist for me.
“You’ll be my end, Jocelyn Craig,”
he says, almost demurely, almost a frown, heading us backward into the deeper
water.
“The ending’s supposed to be the
best part.” I smile, leaning in to rest my forehead on his. “Do I win the game?”
He glances down at my breasts –
nipples hardened from the cool water, his tongue lazily tracing his bottom lip.
“I’m afraid you just might.”

WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN by Erin Noelle~ Review

When the Sun Goes Down (Dusk Til Dawn, #1)When the Sun Goes Down by Erin Noelle

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved the concept of this story and the main character. This was a very different story for Erin Noelle from her Book Boyfriend series.
Although from fairly early on in the story you figure out what the main character is up to, the idea behind it is fun and seductive. The dual POV is insightful and pulls out interesting character traits. Erin Noelle always does a great job of creating book boyfriends that are easy to get wrapped up in. Lucca is no different. He is sweet, thoughtful, understanding and gorgeous of course.
There were times throughout the story I felt Noelle rushed a scene or plot point. So although as a reader you could fill in the blanks, there were a few areas of the story that felt incomplete given that the premise of the story was a really good idea.
The twist in the story was unexpected and good. Just when you thought the story was going to be predictable, Noelle threw in the kicker. Loved it!!!
What makes Erin Noelle a fabulous author is her willingness to try new story tactics and ideas. They are unique, exciting and a welcome addition to the contemporary genre. I always look forward to her books because of the risks she will take in adding elements to a story that very few authors will do. She isn’t reinventing the wheel of boy meets girl. Rather she is making it so much better.
I can’t wait to see where she takes the next book in this series. D 3.5/5

TRANSLUCENT by Erin Noelle ~ Review

I absolutely loved this story. It’s face paced and keeps you on the edge. Check out my review for Erin Noelle’s TRANSLUCENT
Translucent (Luminous, #1)Translucent by Erin Noelle

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Noelle’s best write yet!!
I was first introduced to the likes of Erin Noelle with her first book Metamorphosis. She introduced us to Ash and Mason. Her Book Boyfriend Series was a fun series with hottie boys, a little bit of angst and young love.
Somewhere along the line, Noelle put on her big girl panties and went to the dark side. TRANSLUCENT is full of suspense, dark, ugly subject matter and a book hottie that is delicious and a bit of an enigma.
Bryleigh Carter Oliveira has been witness to and a victim of some heinous crimes. She wants to start over. Madden Decker may be the one to help her. But his secrets may be the one thing that gets in the way of him finally finding happiness.
Erin Noelle’s writing is gritty and raw. The graphic accounts are hard and ugly and make this book worth the read. There have been few authors that will write as boldly as Noelle did. And I have to say as difficult to read some of the scenes it was absolutely awesome to finally read something that hit as hard as Translucent did.
The criminal suspense plot of Translucent made this a page turner of WTF just happened and WhoTF did it. The organized crime angle plays well with the sexy romance of the story.
Erin Noelle created characters that are well thought out. She gives us enough back story and information on each of them while creating questions about them that keep you wanting to turn the page.
Translucent is without a doubt Erin Noelle’s best story yet. I love the risks she took and the “She Did Not Just Go There” ending was amazeballs. Yay to Erin Noelle for taking some risks that ended up creating a fast paced, exciting story. D 5/5

TRANSLUCENT by Erin Noelle ~ Cover Reveal

One of our favourite authors has a new book coming June 22nd!!! This is looking intense and oh so good. TRANSLUCENT by Erin Noelle

Releasing June 22, 2014
Synopsis
add-to-goodreads-button31
Sometimes you reach a point where you just can’t take any more – a breaking point some call it. The day I watched my husband murder the woman who was pregnant with his child, my point didn’t just break, it exploded like a magazine firing through the barrel of a fully-automatic AK-47. Literally. I am no longer his American Princess, nor am I his slave. Now, I’m a murderer in hiding. My name was Bryleigh Carter Oliveira and that was my story.
Translucent is one woman’s story of breaking free, starting over, and learning to trust again through willful submission.
Excerpt
Meet Madden Decker…
Immediately, she hangs her head to hide the tears and crosses her arms across her chest to cover her boobs. “I’m sorry for this,” she croaks in between her sobs. “I just want to go home.”
Rushing to her side, I’m hesitant to touch her, not wanting to inflict any additional pain. I lift her chin gently, forcing her to look up at me. “Don’t apologize, sweet girl,” I whisper soothingly. “Let’s get you cleaned up, and then we can talk about it. I didn’t mean to snap at you.” Tenderly, I kiss each of her tear-stained cheeks before leading her by the hand over to the shower.
“The spray of the shower will sting too badly. It’s better to clean them with a washcloth and then alcohol,” she reasons, obviously having done this before. “I can take care of it, Madden.
I stop mid-stride and turn to her, knowing damn well my eyes are full of pity – I can’t help it. “Okay, but please let me help you.”
With a slight nod of her head, I open the linen closet, pull out a couple of cloths, and guide her back to the sink. Wetting the first washcloth, I drop to my knees in front of her, putting me eyelevel with the lacerations. She keeps her arms tightly wrapped over her chest as I go to work, carefully cleaning up the red streaks from her bony rib cage and concave stomach which I notice aren’t all fresh, thus confirming this is a common occurrence. I bite my tongue to not comment on her frailness, but I don’t want to tear her down any more than she already is at the moment. Instead, I make a mental note to feed her every chance I get.
After nearly fifteen silent minutes, all of the blood is wiped away and I grab the bottle of rubbing alcohol from the medicine cabinet. Returning to my kneeling position, I peer up at her, making sure she’s ready for the burning sensation I know is about to come. Her eyes are closed tightly and she’s chewing nervously on her bottom lip. Her helplessness and fragility affect me in the most profound way. I want – no scratch that – I need to fix her like I need to take my next breath, and I have no fucking clue why. It scares me shitless.

~EUPHORIA by Erin Noelle~ Review and Blog Stop and Giveaway

Hey Crew,

Check out my review for the third book in the Book Boyfriend Series. there are no spoilers. Checkout the heartwarming excerpt and be sure to enter the giveaway!!!!

Blurb

After a series of catastrophic misunderstandings and impulsively poor decision-making, Scarlett MacGregor finds herself once again torn between two loves, as different as they may be. Lacking proper closure with their relationship, accompanied by the overwhelming guilt for her role in his devastating downfall, Scarlett resolves to help Mason recover and reclaim his life as a budding rock star. However, now that he has finally claimed her as his, Ash Walker is bound and determined to keep her by his side, and he will go to any lengths necessary to do just that.

Mason Templeton has hit rock bottom. He’s in love with a girl whose heart and soul belong to another and he’s partied his way off of an international music tour that was supposed to be his big break. Returning home for rehab sounds like the worst possible way to start a new year, but when an unexpected friendship emerges, he begins to realize that maybe everything does happen for a reason.

Euphoria is the third and final installment of Scarlett, Ash, and Mason’s self-discovering journeys to happiness and understanding the meaning of true love ~ the kind that begs for complete surrender
Recommended for readers 17+ due to sexual content and harsh language.

Excerpt

Embracing her one last time, I whispered in her ear, “I love you, butterfly… ‘your curves and all your edges, and all your perfect imperfections.’ I’ll see you tomorrow night.”

“I love you, too, Ash. ‘You’re my end and my beginning; even when I lose, I’m winning,’” she whispered back. Then she grabbed her bag and headed for the security check point.

Right before turning the corner where I couldn’t see her anymore, she looked back at me and blew me a kiss and made hand hearts. Damn, she was beautiful. I stood there for several minutes with a goofy ass grin on my face. I wasn’t expecting her to sing the next lyrics of the song to me, but it filled me with an indescribable feeling of warmth and love. ~Ash

Review

Euphoria (Book Boyfriend, #3)Euphoria by Erin Noelle

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
‘You’re my end and my beginning; even when I lose, I’m winning.’

So this is the 3rd book in the series and continues to evolve and change Scarlett, Mason and Ash’s relationship. And evolve it did. Individually these characters really grew and found things within themselves they didn’t know they could achieve or have. They found they could do things for themselves and still be happy.
In the first book Metamorphosis, the story line was fun and young. Which is exactly the way it should have been since Scarlett had led such a sheltered life before coming to college. In Ambrosia, we see Scarlett try to deal with more adult problems on her own and with the help of her friends. She is desperately trying to find her way. And now in Euphoria, we see Scarlett standing on her own feet and making decisions for her, not making them to please others. We see her deal with tough things life throws at her and accept that she can’t control everything like her parents tried to do with her for so many years.
I also really liked how author Erin Noelle show growth in Mason and Ash. I like how the book wasn’t entirely a pissing contest between these guys. Noelle really tried to develop the story into something more mature and show the growth and changes between all the characters both individually and through their interrelationships. The chapter that has a major event was so symbolic, at least for me, in that it was almost as if things came full circle. It’s as if all three characters had this light bulb moment of true understanding of how they could show their love and show how their love changed with time. The last couple of lines to this chapter really rooted itself into my heart. Love isn’t just about the now—it’s everlasting. Love is always in the how. You can’t just go through the motions and expect it to mean something. You really do have to find your personal Euphoria to make love count. And you just might make “Let Her Go” by Passenger your new favorite song.
I have to get this off my chest now cuz I know there are haters out there…
So this book is a triangle of sorts. And yes there are those that are Team Mason and those that are Team Ash. Regardless of which team you are on, this book ended the way it was supposed to end. Things happened they were supposed to happen. How can that be?—because it’s a bloody work of fiction for one!!!!! You didn’t write this book for another!!! And until you start writing your own book, you will never understand the process of how a story comes to be or how an ending comes to be. Often authors think they have a very distinct path for a story but the characters change that path. I kid you not. I am currently in the writing process myself and I literally had a fight with one of my characters that wanted to do something and I didn’t see it happening that way. Well guess who won? The character.
The ending may very well piss a lot of people off. And I don’t think she settled or gave in to second best. She loved both Mason and Ash equally- for very different reasons but with all her heart. No matter who she ended up with, her heart would always want the other one too. Sometimes your heart doesn’t give you the luxury of loving only one person.
I understand we are all allowed to have our own opinion of a book. I understand we all have an idea of how a book should end or what should happen to various characters. But don’t hate!!! A story is as much an author’s journey as it is a character’s or readers. AND NUMBER ONE – THIS IS FICTION NOT REAL LIFE. GET OVER IT ALREADY!!!
Euphoria is not about Team Mason or Team Ash or who ultimately gets the girl. Euphoria and this whole series is about love, how love changes, how love changes people, how love makes you selfish, how love makes you unselfish, how love destroys you and how love makes you live.
Enjoy the read, don’t get caught up in the little things.
