The Valentine’s Arrangement by Kelsie Leverich ~Review~

valentinesarrangeI don’t usually read novellas because I find them to be too rushed or incomplete. The Valentine’s Arrangement by Kelsie Leverich proved me wrong. I really enjoyed this sassy, feisty, hot read.
Here’s the thing– yes this was a case of guy and gal are physically attracted to each other. (I certainly don’t want to read about characters who have absolutely no chemistry. Is there even such a book?) Yes, said guy and girl are pinup gorgeous. (Don’t want to read about uglies going at it either) And yes those same said guy and gal have baggage and issues between them. (Sure makes the sex hotter).
I loved that Ronnie, our female main character, was the one who had the tattoos and was the mouthy bad girl and that Kale was the clean cut, by the rules good guy, more so.
Keep in mind that this is a novella so the story does move quickly or jumps larger spans of time. However, the sequence of events is fluid and logical. Leverich also did a good job of letting us know who Ronnie and Kale are and what they are about. In fact, I don’t think we would have any different picture in our mind had it been a full length book.
So there will be those critics that will claim they have been there, read that. I’m not sure how many ways romance can be done, so I’ll take the way Kelsie Leverich serves up fun, sexy and hot in the Valentine’s Arrangement any day. The story is no more and no less a way to escape the daily grind of real life. It won’t take up lots of time and it won’t wear you down. So take it for what it is and enjoy.
Want a cheeky, fun, hot, sexy read? Grab The Valentine’s Arrangement by Kelsie Leverich. It’ll take the edge off. D 4/5
